I was a shy, introverted kid with ADD who struggled to make it through school. Academics were a constant challenge, and to be honest, I never felt at home in that environment. Sports became my outlet—a place where I could channel my energy and find confidence.
I started lifting weights with the goal of playing high school football, and that decision marked the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the gym.

After a few years, I started liking the changes I was seeing in my physique. Weightlifting easily became a lifestyle and I decided to do my first bodybuilding show in 2000, about 5 years after meeting my wife, Loraine. In 2001, I met my Coach and good friend, Turk Fickling.

In 2013, thanks to Coach Turk Fickling and my Posing Coach Andre Scott, I took home the Men's Bodybuilding Overall at the NPC Washington State Bodybuilding Championships in Auburn, WA and my brand, "GK Krew" (Giantkiller Krew) was born.
(My Stage Name, "The Filipino Giant Killer", was given to me by Emcee, Kim "Kong" Farrison)

In 2014 our family of four was made complete with the addition of our youngest daughter, Maleah. Bodybuilding is sport that affects not just yourself, but everyone around you and I feel extremely blessed to have a family has been so supportive throughout my journey. My wife, Loraine, has been my rock for over 25 years, and I love being a Girl Dad to our beautiful daughters, Macaela and Maleah.

In 2015, under the mentorship of my Coach, the late Matt Porter, I earned my IFBB Pro Card at 39 years old at the NPC USAs in Las Vegas, NV taking home 1st Place in the Bantamweight Class

I never thought I'd ever my own business, but in 2016 I was able to leave my corporate sales job to grow my Coaching business full time. I love being an Entrepreneur and having the flexibility to set my own hours. Today I train and mentor both bodybuilding and lifestyle clients. I owe a lot to who I am today from my mentors, Andre Scott, Lieutenant Colonel Sean Calder and Pastor James Reyes.

After my victory at the USAs, I have since then competed in all three bodybuilding categories: Bodybuilding, Classic and Physique, and was honored to receive an invitation to compete at the 2019 IFBB Arnold Classic which by far was one of my most memorable career highlights. Because I love performing on stage, Bodybuilding is still my favorite categories to compete in.
